KU teachers intensify protest, continue exam boycott
Teachers at the University of Karachi have intensified their protest campaign by announcing the continuation of a complete boycott of examinations, while vowing to sustain demonstrations until the university's financial and administrative crises are addressed.
The decision was taken during an emergency General Body meeting of the Karachi University Teachers' Society (KUTS) held at the Chinese Memorial Auditorium on Monday, attended by a large number of faculty members. It was the third such meeting convened within a month amid growing unrest at the university.
The meeting unanimously resolved that all examinations would continue to be boycotted, while teachers would stage daily protests outside the Administration Block at 10.30am.
