Lady drug supplier among 30 suspects held

Narcotics, gutka, mawa, weapons, stolen phones recovered

KARACHI:

Police rounded up 30 suspects including a lady drug supplier during operations in various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, hazardous Pakistani and Indian gutka, mawa, weapons, gambling equipment, stolen mobile phones, and other valuable items.

The Mochko police arrested a female drug supplier during an operation at Mochko checkpost.

The suspect, Abida daughter of Shah Dost, was taken into custody and found in possession of 258 grams of crystal meth and 56 grams of ice.

Initial investigations revealed that the accused was involved in interprovincial drug trafficking, transporting narcotics from Hub to Karachi using a passenger rickshaw.

Jackson police arrested a wanted drug dealer during an operation on Jungle Shah Road and recovered more than 1,010 grams of narcotics from his possession.

Aziz Bhatti police arrested two suspects Abdar Ali and Sohail involved in drug trafficking. High-quality drugs (ice), along with mobile phones and cash were recovered from their possession. The motorcycle used for transporting the narcotics was also seized.

Napier police arrested a drug dealer, Asghar Ali alias 'Machhar', recovering over one kilogram of hashish.

Baldia police arrested a drug suspect, Ziarat Khan, and recovered 30 grams of 'ice' (crystal meth) from his possession.

Saeedabad police intercepted a car loaded with hazardous gutka and mawa on Hub River Road and arrested the driver. Police recovered 4,750 packets packed in 19 sacks. The consignment was being transported from Hub to Karachi after crossing multiple checkpoints. A dealer identified as Hamza, son of Habibullah, was also arrested. The Saeedabad police also arrested two suspects, Samiullah and Sajid, involved in supplying Indian gutka. Police recovered 30 packets of gutka from their car.

SITE-B Police raided a gambling den operating inside a snooker club in Gulshan Labour and arrested 12 suspects. Police recovered Rs161,160 in cash along with gambling equipment. The arrested suspects were identified as Shahzaib, Asif, Sadiq, Irfan, Abid Ali, Sohail, Muhammad Wali, Yaseen, Sajid, Salman, and Zahid.
