Maya Hawke reveals her one wedding regret after Valentine’s Day ceremony with Christian Lee Hutson
'I didn’t need to worry as much as I did,' Hawke said, explaining that she spent unnecessary energy stressing

Maya Hawke is reflecting on her surprise Valentine’s Day wedding to musician Christian Lee Hutson and sharing the one thing she wishes she had done differently.
In an exclusive interview with People, the 27-year-old actress said her biggest regret from the February 14 ceremony was worrying too much about whether everyone else was having a good time.
“I didn’t need to worry as much as I did,” Hawke said, explaining that she spent unnecessary energy stressing over the guest experience instead of fully trusting that the day would come together.
Hawke and Hutson tied the knot during a surprise wedding in New York City, attended by family and close friends, including Hawke’s parents, Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, as well as several of her Stranger Things co-stars.
The bride wore a custom Prada gown with a dramatic feathery winter coat, while Hutson wore a custom Prada tuxedo.
Speaking at the premiere of her film Wishful Thinking at South by Southwest, Hawke said married life has been “absolutely fantastic.” She added that she is looking forward to what she called “the best summer” of her life.
Hawke and Hutson first connected through music and have collaborated on several of her albums over the years. Their relationship became public in 2023, and they announced their engagement in 2025 before quietly saying “I do” on Valentine’s Day.
