Driver 'murdered by employers'

A driver was allegedly strangled to death by his employers in Wapda City.
The victim's family staged a protest by blocking a road and burning tyres, demanding arrest of the suspects. Shaukat Ali, a resident of Chak 596-GB, stated in the FIR lodged with Jhumra police that the deceased, his 22-year-old son, Irfan Ali, worked as a driver for Usman.
The complainant alleged that Usman, along with his wife Komal and two unidentified accomplices, had strangled Irfan to death over unknown reasons.
He claimed that two suspects also struck his son on the head with sticks. Police handed over the body to the family after post-mortem examination and registered a murder case against the couple and two unidentified suspects.
The victim's relatives blocked a road and staged a protest at Thana Chowk. Protesters chanted slogans against the police and alleged that thry had allowed the suspects to escape.
