QUETTA:

At least 31 people sustained burn injuries after a massive fire erupted at a Pakistan Customs warehouse in the Lak Passy area of Mastung, triggering multiple explosions, including the blast of an LPG bowser, officials said on Sunday.

The intense blaze engulfed the entire warehouse, sending towering flames into the sky and reducing goods and vehicles worth billions of rupees to ashes.

The explosions also forced authorities to shut down the Quetta-Karachi highway, while emergency was declared in hospitals across the region, with doctors and medical staff summoned to handle the influx of injured persons.
