Sahulat bazaars with free delivery on the cards
.

The Punjab government has decided to establish new "Sahulat Bazaars" in 27 cities to provide relief to citizens amid rising inflation.
The markets will become operational from July 1, at the start of the new fiscal year, and will offer free home delivery within a five-kilometre radius.
In addition, 13 "Sahulat on the Go" mobile markets will also be set up across various districts. Prices of vegetables and fruits at these bazaars will be up to 40 per cent lower than open market rates and 18 per cent lower than officially notified DC rates.
New bazaars will be established in tehsils of Bhakkar, Mianwali, Pakpattan, Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Mandi Bahauddin, Rawalpindi, Attock, and Jhelum. Other districts included in the project are Khanewal, Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Okara, Sialkot, Gujrat, and Sargodha.
"Sahulat on the Go" markets will be launched in various tehsils of Lahore, Jhelum, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi, Kasur, and Faisalabad. Deputy commissioners have been directed to identify locations and complete construction and preparations by June 30. Budget allocations for these bazaars will be included in the Punjab fiscal year 202627.
The Deputy Commissioner Rawalpindi and the revenue department have already sought details of government land for site selection.
