FAISALABAD:
Police in Faisalabad arrested 5,584 proclaimed offenders and busted 256 criminal gangs during a five-month crackdown aimed at curbing crime and improving law and order across the region.
According to Regional Police spokesperson Dr Rizwan Bhatti, the operations were conducted under the supervision of Regional Police Officer Sohail Akhtar Sukhera from December 2025 to May 2026.
He said police arrested 675 suspects linked to dangerous gangs and disposed of 1,524 criminal cases during the period.
Police also recovered motorcycles, gold ornaments, mobile phones, livestock and cash.
