Water tankers crush 3 people
Elderly woman among three dead in road mishaps

Speeding water tankers crushed three people in different areas of the city on Saturday. Separately, two people lost their lives in road mishaps.
A speeding water tanker hit a motorcyclist, killing the rider on the spot and injuring a police officer near Sharea Faisal. The deceased was identified as 45-year-old Fazlullah.
The tanker driver attempted to flee. A police officer on a motorcycle tried to stop him, but the driver hit him as well injuring the officer, Abdul Rehman. Despite his injuries, the officer managed to apprehend the driver.
In another similar incident, a motorcyclist was killed after being struck by a water tanker in Shah Latif, on the National Highway. The deceased was identified as 40-year-old Roman Ali, Tanker driver fled the scene, while the vehicle has been taken into custody.
A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a water tanker in SITE-A, near Habib Chowrangi. The deceased was identified as 50-year-old Muhammad Rizwan, Tanker driver, Fakir Muhammad has been arrested, and the tanker seized. In a separate accident, a 60-year-old woman, identified as Haseena died after an unidentified vehicle hit her near Magasi Goth near National Highway. The deceased was a beggar and resided in the nearby area.
A motorcyclist was killed when an identified speeding vehicle hit him near Singar Chowrangi in Korangi area. The deceased was identified as 32-year-old Abdul Basit.
A speeding motorcyclist died after crashing into a wall in SITE-B, Shershah. The 22-year-old rider sustained fatal head injuries and died on the spot. His body was moved to Civil Hospital. Police found no documents to identify the deceased. Later, the body was shifted to the morgue for identification.
Police have initiated investigations into all the incidents.
