Machine Gun Kelly has addressed speculation surrounding his relationship with Yungblud, confirming he felt hurt amid ongoing rumours of a fallout between the former collaborators.

Fan discussion intensified after MGK released his April 2026 track “Fix Ur Face”, with listeners highlighting a lyric widely believed to reference Yungblud. “Mickey Mouse kids turned rockstars,” MGK sings, “Leaving private schools, tryna be outlaws.”

Yungblud previously appeared on the Disney Channel UK series The Lodge in 2016 and attended Ackworth School in West Yorkshire, prompting fans to connect the lyric to his background.

Online reactions suggested tensions may have stemmed from an August 2024 appearance by Yungblud on The Osbournes podcast, where Sharon Osbourne remarked, “Don’t get me started on that one,” to which Yungblud replied, “Fair.”

MGK appeared to confirm the interpretation during a May 2026 interview on the Garza podcast, where he spoke about loyalty and personal disappointment.

“The song is three minutes of lines about different things,” MGK said. “Yeah, the specific line, I mean, loyalty is really the only thing that matters. When I open my heart, that means I’m vulnerable, and I let you in.”

He continued, “When someone’s given an opportunity to defend their friend, and they don’t, that breaks my heart. It shatters me. Be my friend the same way in public that you are in private. But it’s an angry line in an angry song.”

The pair first collaborated in 2019 on “I Think I’m OKAY” and went on to release further tracks together, including “Body Bag” and “Acting Like That”. Despite their past creative partnership, fans noted their absence from recent joint projects.

MGK added, “But that s*** hurt me, and that is that,” while also acknowledging Yungblud’s talent, stating, “[He’s] super talented and all that.”
