ISLAMABAD:

A young woman was allegedly killed in the federal capital by her husband in collaboration with his alleged girlfriend, while a youth abducted at gunpoint from the limits of Kohsar Police Station in Sector F-6/1 was later murdered in Mardan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

Despite timely information from the victim's father, police reportedly failed to rescue the abducted youth, and no arrests have been made in either case so far.

According to police sources, the first case was registered by Shahn Azhar, a resident of Rahim Yar Khan, who stated that his sister Natasha Azhar was married to Sultan Ali five years ago and had two children. The family later moved to Islamabad's G-12 Sector, where the husband allegedly developed relationships with other women and subjected his wife to severe domestic violence.

The complainant further stated that the husband once expelled his wife and children from the house, after which she returned to her parents. However, he brought them back to Islamabad, only to resume violence. He is accused of poisoning her in connivance with his girlfriend. Police have registered a murder case but has not arrested suspects.

In a separate incident, Ghulam Qadir reported to Kohsar police that his son Farukh Afzal was abducted by five armed men who also opened fire when the family tried to intervene. The FIR was registered, but the boy could not be recovered.

Family sources later confirmed that Afzal was killed, and relatives accompanied by police officials have left for Mardan to receive his body.
