Law enforcement agencies have arrested a high-profile drug kingpin in a major operation against narcotics networks operating in the upscale areas of the metropolis.

The accused identified as Anmol, alias Pinky, was taken into custody during a raid on a group allegedly involved in the supply of expensive synthetic drugs, including ice (crystal meth), cocaine, ecstasy, and party pills in posh localities of the city, sources told The Express Tribune.

The suspect had been running a well-organised drug distribution network for several years and was a key figure in the city's illegal narcotics trade, sources further stated. Initial investigations suggest that she was involved in the monthly trafficking of drugs worth millions of rupees.

Sources revealed that the accused not only supplied narcotics but also introduced branded packaging for drug deliveries. "Boxes used in the supply chain reportedly carried labels and markings linked to her identity, reflecting an attempt to establish a recognisable 'brand' within the illegal trade," one source added.

Investigators also claimed that the network extended beyond residential areas, with links to the supply of drugs in educational institutions, making the case even more serious in nature.

Sources said that Anmol, alias Pinky, had been on the radar of multiple agencies for a long time and was wanted in several cases.

Dozens of raids had previously been conducted in an effort to apprehend her. She has been shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation. Officials expect important revelations which could lead to busting of the entire network.
