KARACHI:

The Gulistan-e-Johar police registered a case following a shooting incident during a dispute at a café which left one person dead and another injured.

The FIR names five suspects—including the café manager and a security guard—along with two to three unidentified individuals.

The incident occurred late Thursday night when a dispute escalated into gunfire. As a result, 22-year-old Najeebullah, son of Niaz Ali, was killed, while another man, Adnan, son of Khalid Hussain, sustained injuries.

Police stated that the altercation began when a group of young men were asked not to sit in the family section of the café. The group initially left but later returned with more accomplices and engaged in a heated argument with the café staff. During the clash, some people allegedly assaulted the security guard, pushed him, and attempted to snatch his weapon. The guard was reportedly overpowered, thrown to the ground, and beaten, during which he opened fire.

The firing resulted in one death and one injury.
