ISLAMABAD:

The Power Division on Wednesday said no load management was carried out during peak hours on the night of April 29, attributing improved supply to higher hydel generation and increased availability of local gas.

In a statement, the Power Division spokesperson said hydropower generation stood at 6,000 megawatts (MW), against the country's total installed hydel capacity of 11,500MW.

The spokesperson added that electricity generation increased after more power plants were supplied with locally sourced gas.
