Driver dies of electrocution

A container driver died after being electrocuted when his vehicle struck overhead electric wires while reversing on Jaranwala Road, while his conductor was shifted to a hospital in an unconscious condition.
The incident occurred near 209 Phatak, where Amir Hayat, 38, was reversing the vehicle and it came into contact with live electric wires. Both the driver and 22-year-old conductor, Muhammad Younis, suffered severe a electric shock and lost consciousness.
They were being taken to hospital after initial medical aid when Amir succumbed to his injuries. Police took the body into custody, and after completing legal formalities handed it over to the heirs.
