FIA submits charge sheet in funding case

ISLAMABAD:

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has submitted a charge sheet in the prohibited funding case, naming former prime minister Imran Khan as the central accused in the case.

The agency submitted the charge sheet to the registrar of the Special Court (Commercial Banking Circle), Islamabad. The Registrar's Office will now initiate the scrutiny process, after that, the case will be formally fixed for hearing.

According to officials, the case involves allegations of foreign funding and financial irregularities, with multiple accused nominated. The same case has already been scheduled for a hearing.
