Billie Eilish has addressed speculation about her relationship with her brother and long-time collaborator, Finneas O’Connell, following his reduced presence during her recent tour.

In a recent interview, the singer responded directly to rumours suggesting a falling out or distance between the two.

“Finneas and I have never and will never have a falling-out, ever in our lives. We'll get in the biggest f---ing fight you've ever heard of in your life…and five minutes later, we're back, laughing and making music. It's sibling s---. There's nothing else in the world like sibling relationships,” she said.

Eilish acknowledged that changes in their working dynamic have led to questions, particularly during her Hit Me Hard and Soft tour.

While O’Connell contributed to the 2024 album, his role during the tour was more limited compared to previous performances.

She explained that both siblings have increasingly busy schedules, which has affected how often they collaborate in person. “If I never saw Finneas at all, I might literally never make a song again,” she said, adding, “But how do we move on and have separate lives?”

The shift allowed O’Connell to focus on his own projects, including releasing solo music and embarking on a separate tour. Despite spending time apart, both artists have continued to express support for each other’s work.

O’Connell has previously spoken about their close relationship, describing it as built on trust and openness. He also noted that he missed working alongside his sister while she was touring.

Eilish’s latest concert film, Billie Eilish – Hit Me Hard and Soft: The Tour (Live in 3D), includes moments that highlight their connection, including a message sent by O’Connell during her time on the road.
