BIEK announces inter exams schedule

Over 160,000 candidates from various groups to appear

KARACHI:

The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi has announced that the annual intermediate examinations for 2026 will begin on April 29, 2026 (today).

The examinations include students of Class XI and XII from Pre-Engineering, Pre-Medical, Science General, Home Economics, Arts Regular, Arts Private, Special Candidates, Diploma in Physical Education, as well as candidates appearing for improvement of grades/divisions, additional subjects, benefit cases, short subjects, TP (twelve papers), and special chance examinations.

The exams will continue until Monday, June 15, 2026, with more than 160,000 students expected to participate in morning and evening shifts. A total of 175 examination centres have been established across the city, including 130 centres for the morning shift and 45 for the evening shift. Of these, 21 centres have been declared highly sensitive.

Chairman BIEK, Fakir Muhammad Lakho, said, due to expected heat during the examination period, arrangements have also been made for rescue services (1122) and emergency medical support. First aid boxes and ambulances will be available near examination centers.
