FIA busts visa fraud network in Gujranwala

GUJRANWALA:

The FIA has uncovered a visa fraud and human smuggling network in Gujranwala, arresting two suspects during a raid on travel agencies, while a third alleged human smuggler linked to a deadly boat incident was apprehended in Hafizabad.

An FIA spokesperson said the suspects were running an organised fraud network under the guise of a travel agency and study consultancy, extorting large sums from citizens and students on the pretext of arranging fake work, visit and student visas.

Separately, the agency arrested a human smuggler from Hafizabad.
