Offset has spoken publicly about the aftermath of a recent shooting incident, describing how he returned to work almost immediately despite being hospitalised. The rapper, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, shared details during an appearance on the Creators Inc. podcast, recorded less than a week after the April 6 incident outside a casino in Florida.

Offset explained that he was treated for injuries at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida, after being shot during an altercation near the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood venue at around 7pm. Despite the seriousness of the situation, he made it clear that his focus remained on continuing his career without pause.

Speaking candidly, he said he felt fortunate to still be mobile following the incident. He described himself as ‘blessed enough to be able to still move’ and emphasised his determination to keep working. His comments reflected a mindset centred on resilience, with the rapper insisting that slowing down was never an option.

Within days of the shooting, Offset appeared on stage at the University of Arkansas Rowfest on April 11. He initially arrived in a wheelchair but later stood up during the performance, engaging with the audience and completing his set. The appearance quickly drew attention online, with fans reacting to his decision to perform so soon after being injured.

He also revealed that he travelled to Los Angeles for the podcast interview while still recovering, flying on a private jet where he remained lying down for much of the journey. The rapid return to public appearances underscored his commitment to maintaining momentum, even in difficult circumstances.

During the interview, Offset spoke about his creative process and confirmed that he is currently working on new music influenced by recent events in his personal life. He indicated that his upcoming material would draw directly from real experiences, suggesting that the shooting may shape the tone of his next project.

The incident also led to legal developments involving Lil Tjay, who was arrested on suspicion of misdemeanour disorderly conduct in connection with the altercation. Authorities stated that the arrest followed a fight at the scene prior to the shooting. He was later released on a $500 bond, and his legal representative denied any involvement in the shooting itself.

Offset’s remarks have sparked conversation across social media, where fans have debated his decision to resume work so quickly. Some praised his determination, while others expressed concern about the pressure to continue performing despite serious health risks.

As he continues recovery, Offset remains focused on his music and public appearances.
