Rosalía makes 'Euphoria' season 3 debut as Magick in episode two

Rosalía has made her on-screen debut in the third season of Euphoria, appearing in the second episode of the HBO Max series.

The Spanish singer, who joined the cast last year, portrays a character named Magick, working as a stripper in a nightclub called Silver Slipper.

The role had been hinted at in earlier promotional material, where brief glimpses suggested her involvement in the nightlife setting.

Her character enters a storyline that reflects the show’s progression beyond high school, with the narrative shifting towards more complex situations and higher stakes.

Euphoria, created by Sam Levinson, has expanded its cast in season three, incorporating new characters into its evolving plotlines.

According to Levinson, Rosalía’s casting was confirmed shortly after her audition. He previously told Vogue, "She’s a great character. Funny, tough, emotional. I also love her accent. She was perfect for the part.”

Rosalía has previously expressed enthusiasm about joining the series, noting her admiration for the programme and its cast. Speaking during an appearance at the Met Gala, she said, "It's my first job. I’m learning. I’m figuring it out,” she said, adding, “It’s been very inspiring to be with these amazing actors. It’s great.”

While the artist has had limited acting roles in the past, this marks one of her most prominent appearances in a television drama.

Season three of Euphoria is currently available for streaming on HBO Max, with new episodes continuing to release.
