Funeral prayers were offered on Friday for all those who lost their lives in the tragic fire incident in Hattar, Haripur. Scenes of deep grief were witnessed, particularly during the funerals of children.

Eight members of a single family - including women and children - lost their lives in a gas pipeline explosion, while 11 others remain under treatment in hospitals.

A large number of political and religious figures, along with senior district administration officials, attended the funerals. The atmosphere across Haripur remains sombre, with widespread mourning and grief.

The Hazara Commissioner has constituted a seven-member inquiry committee under the supervision of Haripur Deputy Commissioner Waseem Ahmed. The committee has been tasked with determining the causes of the fire and identifying those responsible, and is expected to submit its report within 24 hours.

The committee comprises the Harpur DC, District Police Officer (DPO), Medical Superintendent of DHQ Hospital, the District Emergency Officer of Rescue 1122, an engineer from the Gas Department, the Additional Assistant Commissioner-II, and the Assistant Director Industries.
