SC orders PIA to pay ex-employee 24-year pension

ISLAMABAD:

The Supreme Court ordered PIA to pay 24 years' pension and benefits to an employee.

A petition was filed in the Supreme Court by a former PIA employee Mustafa Ansari. A three-member bench led by Justice Shahid Waheed heard the case.

Counsel for the petitioner stated that his client retired in 2002 under a scheme, after which the Sindh High Court ordered the payment of pension and other benefits. The petitioner's lawyer further said that despite the SHC's orders, his client's dues for the past 24 years have not been paid.
