Two brothers killed in roof collapse

In a tragic incident, two minor brothers lost their lives when the roof of a room in their house suddenly collapsed in the Pathan Kot area of Loralai district, Balochistan.

According to local sources, the accident occurred at the residence of Syed Khalil Agha. The deceased children were the sons of Syed Mikail Agha. The roof gave way without warning, burying both boys under the debris. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Rescue efforts were immediately launched by local residents, but the children could not be saved. A wave of grief engulfed the entire area following the tragedy.

The funeral prayers for the two boys were offered at Haji Hashim Mardan Zai graveyard in Pathan Kot.

The incident has been attributed to recent heavy rains and the poor condition of the mud-built structure, a common problem across many parts of Balochistan. Reports from the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Balochistan indicate that multiple incidents of collapsing roofs and walls due to rains and flash floods have been recorded across the province during March and April 2026, resulting in the loss of several lives, including children.
