Couple face murder case
Police registered a murder case against a couple on the suspicion of killing a man who had gone missing seven months ago and launched a search for them.
According to the police, Faheem Ashraf, a resident of the 229-RB area, reported that his father Muhammad Ashraf had left home at around 2:00am on August 28, carrying Rs350,000 in a car for urgent work but never returned.
His mobile phone remained switched off and despite extensive search, the family could not trace him. The complainant said that on April 6, Imran, a resident of Jaranwala, came to his house and informed him that his brother-in-law was negotiating with him over the sale of a car.
He asked that if Ashraf's father completed the biometric verification, he would pay the amount to Nadeem and take possession of the vehicle.
