As Euphoria returns for its long-awaited third season, several familiar faces from earlier seasons are notably absent following a major time jump and creative shift in the storyline.

Barbie Ferreira, who played Kat Hernandez, will not return after previously confirming her exit. Her departure came after her character’s arc reached what was described as a natural conclusion.

Storm Reid is also not part of Season 3, stepping away from her role as Gia Bennett. The actress has spoken about her exit as bittersweet while expressing continued support for the series.

Austin Abrams, who portrayed Ethan Lewis, is another original cast member not returning, with reports suggesting his character’s storyline became less central following earlier departures.

The absence of Angus Cloud, who played fan-favourite Fezco, is also deeply felt after the actor’s death in 2023, leaving a significant gap in the show’s ensemble.

Beyond the on-screen cast, Labrinth, the Emmy-winning composer behind the show’s signature sound, is no longer involved in Season 3, marking a major behind-the-scenes change.

Season 3 introduces a new chapter for Euphoria, shifting the story beyond high school and into the characters’ adult lives. While many fan-favourite characters return, the absence of these key figures signals a significant evolution for the series as it enters what is expected to be one of its most transformative seasons.
