Charred body found near Karachi's N Bypass identified

KARACHI:

The charred body of a young man which was found near Sohrab Goth on the Northern Bypass, has been identified as 29-year-old Faizan Satti, alias Faizi, son of Shiraz, a resident of Saeedabad. The deceased was the father of a young daughter and worked as a clerk in a goods transport company in the Labour Square, SITE area. Investigators believe the victim was killed and his body set on fire in an apparent attempt to conceal his identity. The victim's father told police that Faizan had left home around 8:30pm on April 8 to drop his wife at her parents' house in Gulshan Ghazi but did not return. When repeated attempts to contact him failed, the family began searching and eventually reached Saeedabad police station, where they were informed about an unidentified body found in Mochko. Upon reaching Civil Hospital, they identified the body as their son.
