Romanian diva mentors local artistes
The opera singing programme hosted by the Embassy of Romania in Pakistan in collaboration with the PNCA has marked a year of its successful run in Pakistan.
The Pakistan National Council of the Arts expressed its appreciation to the Embassy of Romania for organising the programme and training local artists in an ambitious craft. The initiative has added a new dimension to Pakistan's artistic landscape and at the same time, strengthened cultural ties between Pakistan and Romania.
PNCA also extended its special thanks to the Ambassador of Romania Dan Stoenescu for his continued encouragement and for promoting meaningful cultural engagement between the two countries.
Over the past year, the programme has provided an excellent platform for emerging musicians to explore the rich tradition of opera. The dedication and expertise of soprano Georgiana Costea-Glug have played a vital role in nurturing talent and ensuring the programme's success.
The opera classes were arranged at the PNCA and managed by Administrative Officer Ghulam Muhammad, under the leadership of PNCA Director General Muhammad Ayoub Jamali.
The Council remains dedicated to promoting artistic excellence and international cultural collaboration. It looks forward to continuing the valuable partnership with the Romanian Embassy and further strengthening people-to-people and cultural connections in the years ahead.
