Senior politician and former Punjab governor Sardar Zulfiqar Ali Khan Khosa passed away at 91 after a brief illness in Lahore.
Born on 20 October 1935, he received education at Queen Mary College and Aitchison College, Lahore, before entering politics in 1962. Khosa was first elected to the West Pakistan Assembly at 26, becoming its youngest member, and went on to serve nine terms as elected lawmaker.
He was Punjab's 31st Governor in 1999. His funeral will be held at Cricket Stadium, Model Town at 5:30pm on Friday (today).
