LAHORE:

The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a landslide alert for parts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) amid current spells of heavy rain, warning of potential disruptions in vulnerable mountainous regions even as the prevailing weather system begins to weaken.

According to officials, areas including Muzaffarabad, Neelum Valley, Bagh, Haveli and Poonch remain at risk due to saturated soil and unstable slopes. The National Emergencies Operation Centre (NEOC) identified Athmuqam, Dhudial and Leepa as high-risk zones where falling debris could endanger residents and commuters.
