KARACHI:

The first annual exams for IX and X grade students will begin on Friday, April 10, 2026, across 520 examination centres, officials announced.

Exam Administrator Ahmed Khan Chatha said that large, well-equipped centres have been set up, providing clean furniture, water, and all necessary facilities. To ensure timely delivery of exam papers, 25 hubs have been established across 18 towns.

Board Chairman Ghulam Hussain Soho instructed that all centres display clear guidelines prohibiting mobile phones and electronic devices, and warned that any cheating materials would be confiscated. He noted that, in coordination with the Karachi Commissioner, DG Rangers, Additional IG, Director Education Karachi, Director Private Schools Sindh, and other authorities, Section 144 will be enforced at all centres to prevent outside interference. Nearby photocopy shops will remain closed during exams.

The Exam Administrator added that K-Electric has been informed to avoid power outages in areas hosting morning and afternoon exams. A reporting cell has been established at the board office to monitor exams and track anti-cheating measures daily.

A secure system has been implemented for the distribution of exam papers - board officials will deliver papers to hub centres, where centre superintendents or authorised representatives will collect sealed copies and transport them to their exam centres. Completed answer sheets will be returned to the board promptly.
