The district administration has imposed Section 144 for 15 days, from April 6 to April 20, citing security concerns and the need to maintain law and order.
Under the order, all gatherings of five or more persons, public meetings, rallies, protests, sit-ins and demonstrations have been banned across the district.
The restrictions also prohibit the display of weapons and the carrying of hazardous items, including petrol bombs, ball bearings and batons. Hate speech and incitement are likewise banned. Additionally, pillion riding and the use of loudspeakers have been restricted.
