Raids underway to arrest suspect after FIR registered

RAWALPINDI:

A 15-year-old girl was allegedly subjected to inhumane treatment in the Shagaf Pali area on Chakri Road, within the jurisdiction of Dhamial police station in Rawalpindi.

A security guard allegedly blackmailed, harassed, and assaulted the minor, also inflicting cuts on her body with a blade.

A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim's father after the girl disclosed the incident. Police said raids are underway to arrest the suspect.

According to police, the complainant told Dhamial police that his daughter informed him in a distressed condition that a guard blackmailed her into establishing relations. The suspect allegedly remained in contact with the girl over the phone and threatened to show her inappropriate pictures to her father if she did not stay in touch.

Out of fear, the girl did not inform anyone and continued to meet him. The complainant further alleged that the suspect subjected his daughter to assault three to four times before January.

The police have said that a case has been registered and the suspect will arrested at earliest to ensure that justice is dispensed and the victim gets relief.
