Northern Bypass cattle market inaugurated
Improved facilities, security promised as traders bring premium livestock ahead of Eidul Azha

Deputy Mayor Salman Abdullah Murad inaugurated a cattle market set up at the Northern Bypass for Eidul Azha on Sunday, with officials promising enhanced facilities and security for traders and visitors.
Administrator of the cattle market Tariq Tanoli welcomed the deputy mayor at the opening ceremony. According to a spokesperson, Murad assured full cooperation from the city administration, saying that, like last year, all necessary support would be extended to ensure smooth operations.
He noted that Karachi residents traditionally turn to the Northern Bypass market for sacrificial animal purchases, adding that security arrangements remain a top priority. Highlighting the spirit of Eidul Azha, he said the occasion promotes unity, brotherhood, and service to others.
Tanoli said improved measures had been introduced this year to make the market more public-friendly, with better facilities for both traders and citizens. Over the past four days, high-quality livestock - including Brahman, Cholistani, Sahiwal, and other breeds - have arrived at the market.
