Olivia Rodrigo’s latest album announcement has prompted widespread discussion, with fans linking its cover artwork to both a classical painting and a recent social media post by actor Louis Partridge.
The singer revealed her third studio album, You See Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love, alongside cover art featuring her positioned upside-down on a swing while wearing a pink dress. Shortly after the release, observers began drawing comparisons to “The Swing,” an 18th-century Rococo painting by French artist Jean-Honoré Fragonard.
Further attention has been drawn to Louis Partridge, who recently shared an image of “The Swing” on his Instagram account.
Rodrigo and Partridge were first linked in 2023 and reportedly ended their relationship in December 2025. During their time together, Partridge accompanied the singer to several public appearances, including a visit to the Philippines during her GUTS tour.
The upcoming album is scheduled for release on June 12 and follows Rodrigo’s previous records, SOUR and GUTS. Both earlier projects achieved significant commercial success and established a distinct visual identity centred around a purple colour palette.
In contrast, the new album appears to mark a shift in aesthetic direction. Details regarding the tracklist have not yet been disclosed, but the artwork has already become a focal point of early conversation surrounding the release.
