The future of XO, Kitty remains uncertain as viewers await confirmation on whether the Netflix series will return for a fourth season to conclude Kitty Song Covey’s story.

Following the release of Season 3, the series continues to centre on Kitty’s final year at the Korean Independent School of Seoul, where she balances relationships, family connections and plans for life after graduation. The latest season follows her attempt to complete a “Senior Sunset List”, including preparing for college, celebrating Chuseok with her family and defining her relationship with Min Ho.

Season 3 delivered a mix of romantic developments and setbacks. Kitty and Min Ho eventually entered a relationship, though miscommunication led to tension before a reconciliation later in the season. The storyline concluded with the pair travelling together to Portland, where Min Ho is set to meet Kitty’s father, suggesting further developments ahead.

Despite growing interest, Netflix has not officially renewed the series for a fourth season. Previous release patterns indicate that announcements may follow shortly after a season premiere. Season 2, for example, was released in January 2025, with its renewal confirmed the following month.

If renewed, the core cast is expected to return, including Anna Cathcart as Kitty, Sang Heon Lee as Min Ho, Minyeong Choi as Dae, Gia Kim as Yuri and Anthony Keyvan as Q. The ensemble has remained central to the show’s ongoing narrative.

Looking ahead, a potential fourth season would likely explore the latter half of Kitty’s senior year, continuing the show’s pattern of splitting academic years across multiple seasons. Alternatively, the storyline could extend beyond school, following Kitty’s transition to college.

While no official timeline has been announced, Season 3 has laid the groundwork for a concluding chapter that would resolve key relationships and long-term character arcs.
