Verdict reserved on CCB delimitations
The regional election authority has concluded hearings on objections filed by former elected members against the delimitation of Chaklala Cantonment Board (CCB).
Hearings on objections related to Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) will be held today, April 2.
According to sources, former CCB members Raja Irfan Imtiaz, Raja Pervez Akhtar, Khalid Mahmood Mirza and Chaudhry Khurram Siddique, along with former Vice President Malik Azhar Naeem through counsel, presented arguments in support of their objections and submitted proposed draft delimitations.
The election authority has reserved its decision after completing the hearing. Former Vice President Raja Irfan Imtiaz stated that the delimitations are unnatural and could create issues in the distribution of basic services. He warned that if relief is not granted, they would approach the Lahore High Court Rawalpindi Bench.
Meanwhile, former members of the RCB have also filed objections against the new delimitations.
