Petition filed against 'illegal detention'

ISLAMABAD:

A petition has been filed in the Islamabad High Court against the unjust detention of Mudassar, who is the husband of a domestic worker who was earlier acquitted of a theft charge of Rs250 million.

Rukhsana Bibi, while filing a petition against the detention of her husband, said that she saw people dressed in police uniforms abduct her husband.

"There is no case against my husband, nor was he presented in any court. A false case of theft was registered against me. The court has already acquitted me," she said.
