Chinese and Pakistani firms are advancing plans to expand cooperation under an existing memorandum of understanding (MoU), with discussions focusing on a 2,800-acre industrial and commercial project in Nooriabad and potential investments across multiple sectors.
Federal Minister for Board of Investment (BOI) Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh held a high-level meeting with a delegation comprising Xiong Xianglong, Chairman of Kunlun Group; Chen Meifen, Executive of Kunlun Group; Danish Ahmed, Director of Oasis Group; and Ahsan Jabbar, Executive Director of Oasis Group.
During the meeting, the Oasis Group outlined its ongoing and planned projects, including Oasis Resorts Lahore as well as industrial, residential and commercial developments. The Oasis Sino Pak Global Village in Nooriabad was discussed in detail as a major project aimed at supporting investment and industrial activity.
It was noted that Kunlun Group and Oasis Group had signed an MoU during a business-to-business conference in September 2025, and both sides expressed interest in expanding collaboration in agriculture, energy and infrastructure.
The minister said the government was focused on facilitating foreign investors and improving the business environment, particularly for Chinese companies. He highlighted Pakistan's economic potential and ongoing efforts to attract investment.
He assured full support to the visiting delegation and provided an overview of Special Economic Zones.
