Case filed against honey-trap gang

BUREWALA:

Police on Monday registered a case against a group allegedly involved in blackmailing citizens through honey trap in Burewala.

The case was lodged at Model Town police station on the complaint of Muhammad Sarfraz, resident of 571/EB. The complainant accused Sajida, Ramzana Jatt and Palwasha of 415/EB and an unidentified accomplice of orchestrating the scheme.

The FIR states that Sajida contacted the complainant by phone and WhatsApp, inviting him to a meeting. Upon arrival, the other suspects allegedly confronted him, levelled false allegations and threatened to publicly humiliate him by tearing a woman's clothes.

The suspects reportedly extorted Rs20,000 and a mobile phone, while also demanding more money and hurling threats.
