Major water line burst disrupts supply in Baldia Town

KARACHI:

KWSC reported a sudden disruption in water supply to Baldia Town after a 48-inch diameter main water line near the Northern Bypass was damaged on Sunday.

According to a KWSC spokesperson, the break occurred while supplying water to the area, prompting an immediate suspension of service.

Technical teams are on-site, conducting de-watering operations and closely monitoring the situation to ensure a swift response.

Officials confirmed that repair work will commence immediately after the de-watering process is completed.

"All available resources are being deployed to restore water supply to Baldia Town as quickly as possible," the spokesperson said. Water services to other parts of Karachi remain unaffected.

Residents of Baldia Town have been urged to exercise patience and conserve water until the repairs are finalised and the regular supply schedule resumes.
