PIA completes preparations for Hajj operations

PIA has finalised preparations for its pre-Hajj flight operations, which are set to commence on April 18 and continue until May 21, official sources told The Express Tribune.

During the initial phase, flights will operate to Madinah and Jeddah to facilitate pilgrims traveling for Hajj. PIA plans to transport more than 60,000 pilgrims to Saudi Arabia through 202 flights.

Of the total, around 49,000 pilgrims will travel under the government Hajj scheme, while 11,000 will perform Hajj through private arrangements.

PIA will operate direct flights from multiple cities, including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Sialkot, Quetta, Faisalabad, and Multan.
