Police launch crackdown on unregistered motorcycles
.

In a significant and unprecedented move to combat rising street crime, including mobile snatching and targeted killings, Peshawar police have initiated a full-scale crackdown on unregistered motorcycles across the city.
Under the campaign, it has been made clear that unregistered motorcycles will no longer be allowed on the roads. Vehicles found in violation will be immediately seized and shifted to police stations.
On the directives of the Capital City Police Officer Peshawar, a formal motorcycle registration drive has been launched citywide for the first time. The objective is not only to ensure strict enforcement of the law but also to provide a safer environment for citizens.
According to police officials, investigations into multiple criminal incidents revealed the frequent use of motorcycles without number plates or unregistered vehicles. This prompted the authorities to take these stringent measures.
Police have issued a clear message to citizens: complete the registration of your motorcycles promptly, or face confiscation. Seized vehicles will only be released upon submission of complete documentation from the Excise Department.
