Niall Horan has spoken about ongoing health concerns related to his joints, revealing that he may face further medical issues in the future following earlier surgery.

The former One Direction member previously underwent reconstructive knee surgery in 2014. Now aged 32, Horan has indicated that both his knees and hips are causing concern as he gets older. Speaking on The Zach Sang Show, he said: “My knees are f***ed. The hips are going now too.”

Horan suggested that his condition may be linked to family history, referencing similar issues experienced by relatives. He said: “I think I was just genetically f***ed from the day I was born.”

He also noted that his father, Bobby, has undergone joint-related procedures, adding: “My dad is 66 this year. He's just had a knee replacement. He's had a hip done 18 months ago. He's getting another hip done now.”

When asked about the age difference, Horan responded: “I know, but it was clearly in there.” He further referenced other family members, stating: “My uncle had two knees done. Like, it's a thing. I think I was just ruined from the day I was born.”

Alongside discussing his health, Horan also spoke about his personal life and music. He revealed that his girlfriend, Amelia Woolley, influenced several songs on his upcoming album Dinner Party, saying: “She did a lot of crying.”

In a separate interview with GQ, Horan described his relationship positively, stating: “Having someone to rant with and listen to and be listened to is huge. I'm glad I found it. And she's amazing and she's got her own thing going on. I love the life that we've got.”

The singer also described their lifestyle, noting that they often spend weekends at home. He said, “We're also big procrastinators. Friday'll come and I'll be like, ‘Can't wait for the weekend,’ and then Sunday night comes and we've done nothing. We spent the whole weekend in the house.”
