A security guard involved in an incident with Jude Law’s daughter has issued a public statement addressing claims surrounding singer Chappell Roan during a hotel stay in Brazil.
Pascal Duvier said he was not part of Roan’s personal security team following allegations that he confronted 11-year-old Ada Law, the daughter of Law and Catherine Harding, at a hotel in São Paulo on March 21. The situation drew attention after Harding’s husband, Jorginho, described the encounter online.
“I do not normally address online rumors,” Pascal said in an Instagram post. “But the accusations currently circulating are false and constitute defamation.”
Pascal added that his response was based on information provided by the hotel and previous observations. “I made a judgment call based on information we obtained from the hotel, events I had witnessed in the days prior and the heightened overall security risk of our location.”
Jorginho had earlier claimed the interaction left Ada “extremely shaken”, stating she had only smiled at the singer while passing by.

“She simply walked past the singer’s table, looked to confirm it was her, smiled, and went back to sit with her mum. She didn’t say anything, didn’t ask for anything,” he wrote. “What happened next was completely disproportionate.”
Roan denied any involvement, saying she was unaware of the situation. “I didn’t even see a woman and a child. No one came up to me,” she said. “I did not ask the security guard to go up to this mother and child.”
Chappell Roan addresses Jorginho’s recent post about his stepdaughter and wife.
She clarifies that the security guard wasn’t her personal security and agrees it was unfair of the guard to assume the child had bad intentions. pic.twitter.com/YNcXlqAvq2
