Two women among six found dead

The bodies of six people including two women and a student, were found in different parts of the city.

According to details, within the jurisdiction of Gulshan-e-Iqbal police station, a several-days-old body of a young man was discovered beneath the lift of a residential apartment building in Block 2. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.

Police identified the deceased as 22-year-old Faisal Karim, who belonged to the Aga Khan community and hailed from Gilgit-Baltistan. He had been staying at the apartment with his bachelor friends and was preparing for an entry test at the University of Karachi. His friends had reported him missing a day earlier, stating that he had been untraceable since March 22 and that his mobile phone was switched off.

In another incident, within the limits of Soldier Bazaar Police Station, the body of an unidentified 40-year-old woman was found on a footpath near Nishtar Road in Garden East. Similarly, the body of a woman, believed to be in her 50s, was found near a drain wall in Korangi. Her identity could not be immediately ascertained.

Body of an unidentified 40-year-old man was found on a footpath near Keamari Gate No. 1. Meanwhile, in Shah Faisal Colony No. 5, a several-days-old body was recovered near a riverbank. Separately, in Sohrab Goth, the body of an elderly man was found near a stream close to Charpai Hotel. Rescue officials said the deceased has yet to be identified.
