Bushra Ansari opens up about quiet first Eid at in-laws
Pakistani actress, Bushra Ansari, recently premiered on Eid Ka Samaa, a show hosted by Madeeha Naqvi, where she revealed the story of her first Eid at her in-laws.
During her first marriage to Iqbal Ansari, with whom she has two children, the actor revealed that she faced many hardships for having a bubbly personality.
“Kisi ne mou e nahi lagaya. Koi aisa mazak nahi tha un logo ke ghar me”, she shared.
Ansari added that “Na wo hastay the na woh bolte the bas wo khana banake samne rakdete the”.
The actor went as far as to joke that even when their siblings would meet after 25 years, there would be hugs, just a far away salam.
They were not bad people, just boring, she shared.
“Hum yu the”, she said while doing dance movements.
Actress Nida Mumtaz also commented, saying she had a similar Eid experience with her in-laws. Her husband told her not to speak or smile that much, which shows that these experiences are part of a broader social pattern.
At the same time, Ansari’s acknowledgment of the goodness in her in-laws shows a balanced perspective—reminding us that differences in personality and upbringing don’t necessarily equate to ill intent.
On a serious note, she shared that some of their family members had passed away, whom she loved and cared about.
In 2025, Ansari also became the first female Pakistani actor to receive the “Star of Pakistan” award at the UK Parliament. The actor is now married to Pakistani producer Iqbal Hussain.
