After two days of festivities, families unwind with halwa puri and lassi

Karachi's residents marked the third day of Eid-ul-Fitr with a flavorful change of pace, stepping out with their families to enjoy hearty breakfasts after two days of hosting and celebrations at home.

Following busy schedules filled with gatherings and festivities, many families—especially women—opted to relax and dine out, turning the morning into a social and culinary outing. From early hours, eateries across the city saw a steady influx of families and groups of young people savoring traditional breakfast favorites.

Some indulged in freshly prepared halwa puri, while others beat the rising temperatures with chilled glasses of lassi. The festive spirit remained high as citizens embraced the opportunity to unwind and enjoy quality time outside their homes.

At a popular breakfast spot, a family shared that they had spent the first two days of Eid hosting guests and attending gatherings, making an outdoor breakfast on the third day a welcome break. "After all the hustle, we felt today deserved a relaxed start," they said.

Restaurant managers reported an unusually high turnout due to Eid, with special seating arrangements made to accommodate the rush. Breakfast service continued from morning till afternoon as Karachiites made the most of the holiday's final day with good food and company.
