80 Ramazan markets receive 40m visitors

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has commended her team for maintaining the 'lowest-ever' prices of fruits, vegetables, and other essential commodities across the province during Ramazan.
According to a statement, special bazaars witnessed an unprecedented turnout, with millions of citizens purchasing over 36.9 million kilogrammes of food items at rates up to 40 per cent lower than the open market. The initiative enabled citizens to save billions of rupees
A total of 80 facilitation markets, including permanent, mobile, and temporary set-ups, were established under the Punjab Sahulat Bazaars Authority, serving over 40 million visitors.
In addition, a digital home delivery system processed over 37,000 orders.
A direct feedback mechanism was introduced to address public complaints instantly, alongside strict digital monitoring to ensure quality and price control.
