ABC could face losses amounting to tens of millions of dollars if it is unable to air its latest season of “The Bachelorette”, following a sudden schedule withdrawal linked to controversy surrounding its lead.

The network halted the programme after the release of a 2023 video showing Taylor Frankie Paul throwing chairs at her estranged partner Dakota Mortensen, with one incident involving her child. The decision came despite earlier indications that the broadcast would proceed as planned.
