Prime Video has confirmed key details for its upcoming television adaptation of Elle Kennedy’s Off Campus book series, including a release date, cast line-up and future plans.

The series, based on the popular five-book collection, will premiere on May 13, with all episodes of the first season released simultaneously. A second season is already in development, signalling confidence in the project ahead of its debut.

Set around an elite university ice hockey team, the story follows a group of students navigating relationships, personal challenges and self-discovery during their college years at Briar University. Each book in the series centres on a different couple, with interconnected storylines forming a broader ensemble narrative.

Season 1 focuses on the relationship between Hannah Wells, a reserved songwriter, and Garrett Graham, a leading hockey player, presenting an “opposites attract” dynamic that introduces the wider group of characters.

The lead roles are played by Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli, with additional cast members including Josh Heuston as Justin, a musician and rival love interest. Antonio Cipriano, Stephen Kalyn and Jalen Thomas Brooks portray key characters whose stories will be explored in subsequent seasons, while Mika Abdalla appears as a future central figure.

Further casting includes Khobe Clarke as quarterback Beau Maxwell and Steve Howey as Garrett’s father, Phil Graham, a former hockey player. A number of recurring roles have also been confirmed, expanding the ensemble cast.

The adaptation has been developed by Louisa Levy, who serves as co-showrunner alongside Gina Fattore. Both also act as executive producers with a wider production team.

The early renewal for a second season is expected to continue adapting the book series, with the next instalment focusing on the storyline introduced in The Mistake.
